Suwon Imposes Regular Registration and License Tax of 3.614 Billion Won

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City announced on the 13th that it has levied 3.614 billion won in regular registration and license tax for January 2021 (91,625 cases).

The registration and license tax is imposed on those holding various licenses and permits as of the tax assessment date (January 1 each year). For licenses without a set validity period or licenses valid for more than one year, differential rates are applied by dividing them into Categories 1 through 5 based on the type and scale of the license.

The registration and license tax can be paid from the 16th to February 1st through the internet (Wetax, Giro), bank ATMs, credit cards, virtual account transfers, convenient payment apps (Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, Payco), and ARS (1899-7500).

An official from the City's Tax Administration Division said, "If you fail to pay the registration and license tax by the deadline, a surcharge of 3% may be imposed," and urged, "Please pay in advance to avoid payment disruptions due to access congestion on the final day."
