Suwon to Support Small Businesses in Replacing Outdated Air Pollution Prevention Facilities
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Suwon City is recruiting small businesses to participate in the "2021 Small Business Prevention Facility Installation Support Project" through the 26th.
The "Small Business Prevention Facility Installation Support Project" provides subsidies to businesses that replace aging air pollution prevention facilities.
Eligible applicants are Category 4-5 air pollutant-emitting businesses within the city. Priority support is given to businesses operating outdated prevention facilities that are 10 years or older and those emitting specific air hazardous substances.
Within a total budget of 990 million won, 90% of prevention facility installation costs will be supported until the subsidy budget is exhausted. Businesses must cover the remaining 10%.
Selected businesses must mandatorily install Internet of Things (IoT) measurement devices and operate the prevention facilities for at least 3 years.
The city has also decided to integrate and operate the "Low-NOx Burner Installation Support Project." SMEs, non-profit corporations and organizations, office and commercial buildings, and multi-family housing within the city can receive partial support for installation costs when replacing general burners with low-NOx burners.
Applications for air pollution prevention facility subsidies should be submitted by the 26th to the Environmental Policy Division of Suwon City Hall with the project application form, air pollution prevention facility installation plan, business registration certificate, and other relevant supporting documents. Low-NOx burner subsidy applications should be submitted with the project application form and low-NOx burner certification test results.
Detailed information and application forms are available in the "Small Business Prevention Facility Installation Support Project" notice posted on the city website (http://www.suwon.go.kr) under "Suwon News → Announcements and Proclamations."
Meanwhile, the city has supported the replacement of air pollution prevention facilities at a total of 71 businesses since 2019.
