[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon City announced on the 5th that it has developed a standard design for 'autonomous building number plates' that express the identity and characteristics of the Suwon Hwaseong District.

The new building number plates, designed to match the traditional and serene atmosphere of the Suwon Hwaseong District, use 'Janganmun Black,' designated as a representative and cultural color in the 'Suwon City Color Guidelines,' as the background color, and feature a design of Paldalmun Gate—which represents the unique architectural style unique to Suwon Hwaseong—as the background of the number plate.

Three types of designs are available in proportion: a rectangular design in aluminum material and a curved design in Corten (weathering steel plate) material. Building owners can attach the appropriately shaped number plate according to the building's facade.

Autonomous building number plates can be freely used with any desired design as long as they include road name address information and meet the minimum specifications.

The information is displayed from top to bottom in the following order: Korean road name, English road name, and building number. The font is Bon Gothic, which has excellent readability.

The new building number plates will be first applied to public buildings in Paldal-gu, including Hwaseong Business Office, Suwon Foundation for Arts and Culture, and Seongyeong Library, and will be gradually expanded.
