Suwon Launches 'Environmental Classroom' via QR Codes at Bus Stops
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-seong] Suwon City is operating a non-face-to-face environmental education program called "Suwon Environmental Classroom via QR Code."
The Suwon Environmental Classroom via QR code utilizes QR codes attached to bus stops to provide environmental education programs composed of content such as short videos of around 3 minutes, webtoons, and card news featuring diverse environmental topics each month.
Promotional materials have been posted at 196 bus stops throughout the city and 17 public libraries in Suwon to make the program accessible to many citizens. Through the Suwon Environmental Classroom blog (https://blog.naver.com/swenvedu) linked via the QR code on the promotional materials, citizens can access diverse environmental content.
Content is posted on the first day of each month. In 2024, environmental education content on future eco-friendly transportation, climate crisis, reducing single-use products, and endangered species will be posted.
An official at Suwon City said, "We plan to provide citizens with diverse information on the environment," and added, "We hope citizens will recognize the importance of the environment and practice eco-friendly lifestyles in their daily lives."
