[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Special City will hold the "18th Job Fair for Senior Employment" from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the 11th at Hwaseong Haenggung Square.
The job fair for senior employment, hosted by Suwon's Private-Sector Employment Support Council for the Elderly (comprising Suwon City, Suwon Senior Club, and the Korea Senior Welfare Association branches in Jangan, Paldal, Gwonseon, and Yeongtong districts) and organized by Suwon Senior Club, is a job fair for seniors aged 60 and above residing in Suwon City.
Over 16 companies will participate in the fields of security, cleaning, and cooking and kitchen assistance. The hiring target is 50 people.
Recruiting companies will conduct hiring either through document screening and on-site interviews, or through Suwon Senior Club and the four district branches of the Korea Senior Welfare Association receiving resumes and scheduling subsequent interviews.
The event venue will comprise interview booths, care facility promotion booths, and booths with participating partner organizations (Suwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry). The Gyeonggi South Elder Abuse Prevention Center plans to conduct an elder abuse prevention campaign.
Employment support services including employment counseling, resume writing assistance, and business card photo shooting and printing will also be provided.
A city official stated, "We hope the job fair for senior employment serves as a venue providing seniors with practical employment opportunities and information," and added, "We will continue to work to increase sustainable job opportunities for our elderly residents."
