Hwaseong City Child Protection Agency Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Parenting Seminar

Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myeong-geun) held a parenting education seminar on the 16th at the U&I; Center Hwaseong Art Hall under the theme of "20 Years Standing by Our Children" to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Hwaseong City Child Protection Agency's opening.

Hosted by Hwaseong Special City and organized by the Hwaseong City Child Protection Agency, the seminar was held to reflect on two decades of child protection activities and to support communication between parents and children and the formation of healthy family relationships.

On the day, actor Jeong Eun-pyo shared his parenting experiences under the theme of "Happy Parenting, Happy Family," conveying the importance of mutual understanding and communication between parents and children. In the question-and-answer session that followed, participants shared various concerns and thoughts about child-rearing with the speaker.

At the event venue, a 20th anniversary commemorative video documenting the major activities of the Hwaseong City Child Protection Agency and an exhibition introducing its accomplishments were prepared. Additionally, an exhibition of drawings expressing "a safe world" as envisioned by children and participatory campaigns were operated to increase community interest in children's rights and safety.

Kang Eun-young, director of the Hwaseong City Child Protection Agency, said, "It was possible to stand by children over the past 20 years thanks to continued interest and cooperation from Hwaseong Special City and the local community," and added, "I hope this seminar will serve as an opportunity for parents and children to understand and communicate with each other."

She continued, "Going forward, we will faithfully carry out the agency's role in child abuse prevention education and promotion, case management of abused children, and family support, creating a local community where children can grow up safely and happily."
