Osan City Holds Opening Ceremony for Social Enterprise 'Clothes and People'

Osan City held an opening ceremony on the 21st for the Osan-type social enterprise "Finding Nature's Companion: Clothes and People," which was selected by the First Social Enterprise Development Committee last month, at 772-5 Wondong to launch its clothing reform and natural dyeing business.

About 30 guests and citizens, including Mayor Gwak Sang-wook of Osan City, city council members, and heads of various organizations and institutions, attended the opening ceremony. In his remarks, Mayor Gwak stated, "Social enterprises are a new form of hybrid business that provides sustainable employment and social services to vulnerable groups while pursuing social objectives and generating profits," and emphasized that "we should all make efforts to help the newly launched social enterprise establish its self-reliance foundation as early as possible."
