Osan City Launches Citizen Festival Participation Group into Full Activities

Osan City announced on the 26th that it has launched a citizen festival participation group and has begun full-scale activities.

The citizen festival participation group is divided into three divisions—planning, publicity, and monitoring—and will carry out duties including festival planning, publicity for citizen participation, event evaluation, and opinion surveys.

The participation group plans to hold divisional meetings and regular meetings to present opinions related to the festival, and will operate an internet café and blog.

Previously, the city conducted a recruitment period that ended on the 30th of last month, selecting 40 citizens for the "Oh! Beauty Citizen Festival Participation Group."

Mayor Kwak Sang-wook said, "Citizen participation is most important in making Osan a representative festival worthy of becoming a city brand," and added, "Let us create a sustainable festival by encouraging voluntary citizen participation, just like the successful Boryeong Mud Festival that caters to children's perspectives."
