Osan City Hosts One-Night, Two-Day Reading Camp at Hatssal Maru Library

The 'one-night, two-day reading camp,' which was operated during last summer break and received high praise, was organized again during this winter break with the aim of helping children become more familiar with the library and spark their interest in reading. The library plans to operate it bimonthly starting in March.
The reading camp operated during this winter break featured a variety of programs including traditional games, dream tree-making activities for 2014 dreams and hopes, word speed games, and pajama parties where friends enjoyed laughter and fun together, providing vitality to children tired from studying.
Additionally, it became an opportunity to help children recognize the library not only as a source of wisdom where knowledge and information spring forth, but as a pleasant place for gatherings, encouraging them to visit the library as comfortably as they would their own home.
A library official stated, "We hope the one-night, two-day reading camp will become a healing program that restores both body and mind for future generation leaders," and added, "We will also guide efforts to foster righteous children who properly recognize the importance of friendship and the sociability of coexisting together, and correctly uphold etiquette and moral values."
