Osan City Offers Tuition Loan Support for College Students of Gyeonggi Province Farmers

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kwak Sang-wook) announced on the 18th that it will accept applications for tuition loan support for college students who are children of farmers until the 25th.

Eligible applicants for the Gyeonggi Province farmers' children college tuition loan support are, in the case of enrolled college students, children of farmers who were not selected in the Korea Student Aid Foundation's rural loan application. In the case of incoming college freshmen, they may apply for a rural loan at the Korea Student Aid Foundation (1599-2000) from the 24th to the 28th.

To qualify for the farmers' children college tuition loan support, applicants must be college-student children of full-time farmers who have resided in a rural area of Gyeonggi Province for at least six months. If one parent has a job other than farming, that income must be less than 48 million won, and recipients of other tuition support cannot receive tuition support twice.

The required documents for the tuition loan support are the Korea Student Aid Foundation application receipt, a certificate of enrollment (including a transcript of the previous semester), a copy of the health insurance card (for those enrolled through their workplace, a withholding tax receipt for earned income or a receipt for national health insurance premium payments must be attached), and the parents' identification and seal.
