Nam Kyung-pil: "This Year's Provincial Government Goals Are Job Creation and Economic Growth"

Gyeonggi Province Governor Nam Kyung-pil has designated 'job creation and economic growth' as the top priorities for this year's provincial administration.

Governor Nam attended a 'New Year's Reception hosted by the Gyeonggi Province Chamber of Commerce and Industry Federation' held on the 4th at 2 p.m. at Hotel Castle Grand Ballroom in Suwon, where he expressed his gratitude to business leaders who have driven Gyeonggi Province's economy over the past year and conveyed his vision.

During his remarks, Governor Nam said, "Over the past year, I have focused on settling inter-party cooperation. This year, I will overcome the Republic of Korea's crisis and dedicate myself to job creation and economic growth," and added, "I will prepare step by step with the goal of establishing a shared market economy that competes with the world and achieves coexistence between large and small enterprises."

As specific measures, Governor Nam expressed his determination to establish a Gyeonggi Province Corporation, stating, "I will actively support small and medium enterprises, small business owners, and startups so that those doing business in Gyeonggi Province can possess the highest competitiveness on the global stage."

Governor Nam also said, "By establishing shared logistics complexes and convenient payment systems, I will build an economic system where those with the best products and best ideas can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with large enterprises."

Following the Suwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry event, Governor Nam visited the Uiwang and Yongin Chambers of Commerce and Industry for New Year's receptions. Governor Nam's Chamber of Commerce New Year's receptions will continue through January 13th, targeting 20 chambers of commerce and industry throughout the province.
