Hwaseong Special City (Mayor Jung Myeong-geun) announced on the 6th that it held a delivery ceremony for four eco-friendly vehicles donated to welfare facilities in the city in collaboration with Samsung Electronics DS Division.
This project was undertaken to enhance mobility convenience in social welfare facilities and contribute to improved air quality through the provision of eco-friendly vehicles.
The delivery ceremony was attended by Mayor Jung Myeong-geun of Hwaseong Special City, Ha Heon-jae, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics DS Division, Kim Hyo-jin, Director of Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea, and welfare facility directors receiving the vehicles.
The recipient organizations were selected as follows: ▲LH Happiness Dream Center Sharing Community Children's Center ▲Hwaseong City Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities ▲Angels' House ▲Headream Color Protection Workshop.

The eco-friendly vehicle support project purchases eco-friendly vehicles using donation funds collected through the 'Walk of Love Campaign' in which Samsung Electronics DS Division employees voluntarily participate, and delivers them to social welfare organizations selected through public recruitment. Through this initiative, the project supports social welfare institutions in providing stable welfare services and contributes to improving the local environment.
Mayor Jung Myeong-geun of Hwaseong Special City stated, "I extend my deep gratitude to Samsung Electronics DS Division and all employees for supporting eco-friendly vehicles for four consecutive years," adding, "This vehicle support will serve as a strong foundation in alleviating mobility difficulties for welfare facility users and providing more comprehensive welfare services to citizens in need."
