Suwon Gwanggyo Museum Celebrates Hangeul Day with 'Autumn Cultural Festival with Our Neighbors'

Suwon Gwanggyo Museum will hold the 'Autumn Cultural Festival with Our Neighbors' on the 9th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the museum's outdoor space to celebrate Hangeul Day.
The festival will feature traditional games and experiential activities. In the traditional games section, visitors can enjoy Ganggangsullae circle dance, tug-of-war with rope, talchum mask dance, weaving games, stone-throwing games, stilt walking, Tuho game, buna spinning, stick-feeding game, and straw ring tossing.
The experiential activities include ▲Hangeul blooming in Gwanggyo with the spirit of King Sejong (flower character walks, making 2027 calendars, creating travel postcards, and making Hangeul keycap keychains) ▲Getting to know Suwon Gwanggyo Museum (Shine Gwanggyo Museum! artifact rubbing art games, Gwangdeok stencil bags) ▲Traditional culture (making folk painting tops, creating cute bojagi fabric magnets, and making landscape painting lighting by drawing with light).
The museum also prepared Korean traditional hanbok experience, a King Sejong photo zone, and an activity booklet event for the '2026 Themed Exhibition - Daily Life of Joseon Through Historical Documents.'
Suwon Gwanggyo Museum maintains the historical significance of Gwanggyo History Park, known as the 'King Sejong Family Park,' and hosts the 'Autumn Cultural Festival with Our Neighbors' every Hangeul Day. The autumn cultural festival has established itself as Suwon's representative Hangeul Day celebration.
A Suwon Gwanggyo Museum official stated, "In celebration of Hangeul Day, we have prepared diverse programs where citizens can appreciate the value of our writing system and culture," adding, "We hope many citizens will join us."
