Suwon Metropolitan City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) will host the 'Second Carbon-Neutral Community Festival' from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 11th at the upper park area near Gosaeok Station.

The festival allows citizens to enjoy various programs and learn how to practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives. Anyone can participate, and all programs are free to experience. The festival is hosted by Suwon City and organized by Suwon Urban Foundation.

The festival grounds will feature ▲'Practice with Us' with carbon-neutral practice diagnostics and fairy tale book exhibitions ▲'Play with Us' where visitors can experience umbrella repair and refilling, and make natural beeswax candles ▲'See with Us' where visitors decorate ballpoint pens with three-dimensional (3D) printer beads ▲'Reuse and Share' carbon-neutral Gosaeok Market where used goods are sold and exchanged.

The stage will feature a carbon-neutral family golden bell game, carbon-neutral Suwon performances, resident action group declaration of commitment, busking, and invited performances. Food trucks and a 'Wellness Station' carbon-neutral green city experience space will also operate.

Citizens who complete the stamp tour through the experience booths will receive eco-friendly commemorative gifts.

A Suwon City official stated, "We hope the carbon-neutral community festival serves as an opportunity for citizens to practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives," and added, "We will promote a carbon-neutral practice culture that brings together all generations from children to adults." The official further requested that visitors "use public transportation such as the subway (Gosaeok Station) and buses, as roads and parking spaces around the venue are limited."
