[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] On the 25th, Suwon City held the ‘Korea-China Youth UP Cloud’ event, a major program of the ‘3rd Korea-China Youth Forum’ at City Hall.
The ‘Korea-China Youth UP Cloud’ is a venue where youth from Korea and China, along with representatives from businesses and universities, gather to share information and opinions and explore cooperation.
Approximately 200 youth from Korea and China participated, along with small and medium-sized enterprises in the city and officials from LINC+ business divisions at Kyung Hee University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Ajou University. The event featured a youth lecture by Hong Soon-min, CEO of Hummus, followed by ‘Youth Connection’ where Korea-China youth presented startup cases and ideas.
The youth startup case presentations were given by Jung Min-seok, CEO of Commerce Roo, and the youth representative delegation head of Weihe (卫荷) China International Youth Exchange Center. CEO Jung Min-seok presented his startup experience with a ‘replaceable filter all-in-one mask’ under the theme ‘From 2,850% Success Story to Crowdfunding Consultant.’ The Weihe representative shared his startup experience targeting people with disabilities under the theme ‘New Paths for Chinese Youth Business Innovation and Sustainable Development.’
The ‘3rd Korea-China Youth Forum,’ jointly hosted by Suwon City and the China International Youth Exchange Center, runs through the 27th. Both sides have held forums annually since signing an agreement in 2017.
