Jangan-gu Delivers Heat Wave Safety Supplies to Environmental Management Workers

The heat wave prevention supplies provided by the district include yellow ice safety vests, hats with brims, and cool arm sleeves. The annual "bokdal-im" (summer festival) event held each year to overcome the heat was replaced with seasonal fruits such as watermelons and peaches to minimize in-person contact due to COVID-19.

Jangan-gu Chief Lee Beom-seon said, "With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the volume of disposable waste is increasing, and with record-breaking heat waves expected, the hardships of our environmental management workers are expected to be greater than ever," adding "It is thanks entirely to your efforts that clean street environments are maintained despite these difficult conditions."
