Suwon Urban Development Corporation Obtains 'Human Rights Management System Certification' from Korean Management Certification Institute
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Jung Jun-sung] Suwon Urban Development Corporation (President Lee Sang-hu, hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) announced on the 18th that it has obtained ‘Human Rights Management System’ certification from the Korean Management Certification Institute.
The Korean Management Certification Institute grants ‘Human Rights Management System Certification’ to institutions by conducting objective deliberation and verification processes regarding the prevention of human rights violations, systematic management and goal-setting for human rights-friendly management activities, and implementation status.
The Corporation has been implementing human rights management since 2018 and has made efforts to establish a human rights management system by designating dedicated human rights management organizations, enacting human rights management regulations, organizing human rights management committees, proclaiming human rights management charters, conducting human rights impact assessments, and providing human rights training.
In particular, the Corporation has worked to implement various human rights management initiatives and establish a substantive human rights respect organizational culture through interest and drive in human rights management, and has undergone verification through this certification.
Lee Sang-hu, President of Suwon Urban Development Corporation, stated, “We expect that our Corporation's level of human rights management will be upgraded to the next level,” and added, “We will make every effort to establish an organizational culture that respects the human rights of internal employees as well as internal and external stakeholders.”
