Gyeonggi Province Rehabilitation Association for Persons with Disabilities Hosts '36th Bluebird Camp'…Recruiting Participating Families
The Gyeonggi Province Rehabilitation Association for Persons with Disabilities (Chairman Lee Young-jae) announced that it will host the '2026 Gyeonggi Province Family Camp for Youth with Disabilities Living at Home, the 36th Bluebird Camp,' to promote healthy growth of youth with disabilities and their families in Gyeonggi Province, as well as to foster communication and strengthen family bonds.
The Bluebird Camp, now in its 36th year, is a family participation program designed to support physical and emotional development of youth with disabilities living at home and improve their rehabilitation capabilities, allowing youth with disabilities and their families to experience diverse activities together away from daily routines.
The camp will be held in two sessions from October 24 to 26, with the entire Pocheon Mint Glamping facility reserved for the event. A total of 42 households (84 people), with 21 households per session, will participate, and participating families can choose their preferred session between the first and second.
Participating families will be provided with camping accommodations and meals for each household, and experience programs including bonfire viewing, woodworking experiences (making cutting boards in the first session and wooden trays in the second session), treasure hunts, and family photo sessions will be offered.
Recruitment of participants runs until September 30. Participants will be selected considering income level, participation history, and regional balance. Applications and inquiries can be made to the association at 031-203-1665~6.
An association official said, "We hope the 36th Bluebird Camp will be a time for youth with disabilities and their families to step away from the burdens of daily life, understand and communicate with each other, and create pleasant memories," and added, "We will continue to develop various programs to support the healthy growth and improved quality of life for youth with disabilities and their families living at home."
