Kim Yong-nam "Attracting Hanok Luxury Hotel"… Announces "Three Major Pledges for Paldal-gu"

Candidate Kim Yong-nam announces the "Three Major Pledges for Paldal-gu" at the Gyeonggi Province Assembly briefing room.

Candidate Kim Yong-nam (Saenuri Party, Suwon B District) held a press conference at the Gyeonggi Province Assembly briefing room on the 29th and announced three major pledges covering various livelihood sectors including tourism, employment, and welfare.

The main content includes ▲attracting a hanok luxury hotel and creating a themed town ▲establishing Gyeonggi Regional Procurement Service and Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office ▲improving education, culture, and welfare environments.

Candidate Kim's first pledge of "attracting a hanok luxury hotel and creating a themed town" aims to attract a luxury hanok-style hotel to the Suwon Hwaseong area designated as a tourism special zone and develop a hanok town that harmonizes with Suwon Hwaseong, making Suwon Hwaseong a hub for traditional culture tourism.

Candidate Kim stated, "If this pledge is realized, the issues of old downtown redevelopment and reconstruction that Paldal-gu has suffered from for a long time will be resolved, and it will greatly contribute to regional economic vitalization through job creation for local residents as well as the influx of domestic and international tourists."

Earlier, Candidate Kim said he had prepared the Paldal-gu Hanok Town pledge by benchmarking Jeonju City's Hanok Village, a successful model for urban regeneration and regional economic vitalization, while exchanging with former Jeollabuk-do Governor Song Ha-jin and Jeonju Mayor Kim Seung-su.

The second pledge, "Establishment of Gyeonggi Regional Procurement Service and Gyeonggi Regional Employment and Labor Office," aims to resolve problems arising from the lack of corresponding administrative service delivery systems despite the concentration of massive procurement and employment and labor work demands in Gyeonggi Province, and to establish Paldal-gu as the economic center of the province.

Candidate Kim said, "Although domestic delivery performance amounts to 6.08 trillion won, equivalent to 26% of the national total, procurement operations are divided between the Seoul Regional Procurement Service and the Incheon Regional Procurement Service, causing significant inconvenience for companies in the province in performing procurement operations."

He explained, "In the province, there are approximately 410,000 businesses and 3.53 million workers, creating the highest employment and labor administrative demands in the nation, but the province lacks a regional employment and labor office of a level to take responsibility for employment and labor administration."

He continued, "If a regional procurement service and employment and labor office are newly established in the province, the significantly insufficient employment and business support infrastructure in Gyeonggi Province will be greatly improved," and said, "Paldal-gu will also transform into the most business-friendly and work-friendly region in the nation."

The third pledge presented by Candidate Kim is "improvement of education, culture, and welfare environments," which includes repairs of aging facilities in elementary, middle, and high schools in Paldal-gu, construction of multipurpose gymnasiums, expansion of cultural spaces, and more.

Earlier, on the 23rd, Candidate Kim announced a pledge to establish a second senior welfare center in Hwaseo 1-dong.

Candidate Kim stated, "This pledge reflects the situation where, despite Paldal-gu having the highest elderly population ratio among Suwon's four districts, the number of senior welfare centers is relatively insufficient," and said, "It is urgent not only to address issues for seniors but to expand services across all sectors."

Candidate Kim stated, "I will win in the 20th general election and realize the pledges I have presented," and added, "For the economic development of Paldal-gu and recovery of people's livelihoods, Kim Yong-nam will show you through action, not words."
