Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters Conducts Safety Consulting at Korea National Oil Corporation

The Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters has undertaken fire safety inspections at major facilities throughout the province.

Kim Il-soo, head of the Gyeonggi Northern Fire and Disaster Management Headquarters, visited the Korea National Oil Corporation's Guri Branch on the morning of the 14th at 10 a.m. to conduct disaster management safety consulting.

This site visit was conducted to proactively prevent large-scale disasters by inspecting the management of fire-fighting facilities and the capabilities of the in-house fire departments at nationally important facilities under its jurisdiction.

The Korea National Oil Corporation is a public enterprise operated to stabilize domestic oil prices and contribute to national economic development by stockpiling and supplying petroleum in preparation for petroleum supply crises in the country.

The Guri Branch of the Korea National Oil Corporation has been designated as a high-risk target for large-scale fires by the Guri Fire Department and is under special management.

Head Kim Il-soo stated, "Given that we manage large quantities of hazardous materials, establishing a safety management system and strengthening response capabilities are crucial. He urged them to "make every effort to prevent safety accidents through organic cooperation with fire departments, including thorough maintenance of fire-fighting facilities and conducting capability enhancement training for the in-house fire department."
