Uiwang City to Expand Issuance of Uiwang Love Gift Certificates by 2 Billion Won

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Hong Sung-gil] Uiwang City held a meeting of the Uiwang Love Gift Certificate Operating Council on the 3rd at the City Hall small conference room with eight members including Chair Jung Ui-dol, Vice Mayor, and decided to expand the issuance of 2 billion won in Uiwang Love Gift Certificates next month.

The meeting also decided to apply a special discount rate of 10% for one month from August 19th to September 20th for the Chuseok holiday season and sell the gift certificates accordingly.

Currently, Uiwang Love Gift Certificates have received strong response, with 2.4 billion won, or 80% of the 3 billion won issued, sold within six months of issuance.

Meanwhile, the Uiwang Love Gift Certificate Operating Council, which was established in May, is composed of nine members including Vice Mayor Jung Ui-dol, City Councilor Yi Rang, Bugok Dokkaebi Market Merchant Association, representatives of small business owners and consumer organizations, and experts. It serves the role of deliberating on matters related to the issuance and distribution activation of Uiwang Love Gift Certificates.

Vice Mayor Jung Ui-dol said, "We hope that the expanded issuance of Uiwang Love Gift Certificates can help citizens and small business owners, and further make a practical contribution to revitalizing the local economy."
