Osan City Holds Designation Certificate Ceremony for Community-Based Childcare Centers

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Osan City presented designation certificates to nine newly selected community-based childcare centers at the "2019 Community-Based Childcare Center Performance Report" held in the city office situation room on the 21st.

Community-based childcare centers is a project in which the Ministry of Health and Welfare selects excellent childcare centers, provides operational expenses, and enables the provision of high-quality childcare to infants and young children.

The Korea Institute for Child Care and Education supports operational management through quality management consulting, systematic financial and accounting management, and enhanced professional development programs for childcare staff. Teachers receive salaries at or above the first-year salary level of national and public childcare centers. Parents pay only government-supported childcare fees and can leave their children until 7:30 p.m.

Osan City had 19 community-based childcare centers operating until last year, but has increased to 28 this year.
