Osan City (Mayor Jo Yong-ho) operated a ‘Mobile Mayor's Office’ on the 22nd at the Osan I-Dream Center with 18 daycare parents in attendance.
This meeting was held to directly listen to the challenges daycare-using parents face during childcare and child-rearing, and to share opinions on necessary support measures. Mayor Jo sat face-to-face with parents and discussed matters regarding daycare usage, child-rearing, and educational environments.
Parents freely shared the inconveniences they experienced while raising children and their hopes for improvement. The mayor also exchanged opinions with parents regarding their suggestions. The city plans to share today's feedback with relevant departments and establish direction for handling the issues based on review results.
Previously, Osan City visited all eight districts to listen to residents' feedback on inconveniences in their daily lives and local issues. The city plans to continue these conversations with various citizens including teenagers and young adults.
Mayor Jo Yong-ho of Osan City said, “This was an opportunity to directly hear from parents raising children,” and added, “I will carefully review the opinions you provided today with relevant departments and reflect necessary improvements in city policies.”
