Paldal-gu Conducts Inspection of Game Arcades and Karaoke Establishments
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Paldal-gu, Suwon (District Chief Lee Hun-sung) conducted guidance inspections of 43 distribution-related business establishments, including game arcades and karaoke establishments, from December 1 to 4.
The inspections aimed to foster a healthy leisure culture through the establishment of orderly business operations at distribution-related establishments, and to preemptively check for potential safety hazards related to fire and disaster risks to ensure the safety of residents.
The main inspection items were compliance with business operator requirements and adherence to facility standards. For game arcade establishments, inspectors focused on the lack of harmful content blocking programs, encouragement of gambling activities, and violations of prize distribution standards.
For karaoke establishments, inspectors prioritized checking for the sale, bringing in, and storage of alcoholic beverages, mediation of hostesses, and violations of youth access time restrictions.
Inspections of fire safety facilities were also conducted in parallel, including the installation and operation status of fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and evacuation lighting, as well as whether emergency exits were accessible.
A district official stated, "We will continue to make efforts to improve business operators' compliance awareness and promote the establishment of a healthy leisure culture through regular guidance inspections."
