Paldal-gu Conducts Inspection of Saemaul Libraries

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] From November 11 to 22, Paldal-gu, Suwon, will conduct a two-week inspection of 10 Saemaul Libraries within the district.

▲Compliance with operational requirements of Saemaul Libraries ▲Activity results including the number of library users and days of operation ▲Management status of major assets including books, library facilities, heating and cooling systems, and computers ▲Status of specialized program implementation ▲Plans to revitalize libraries. Time will also be set aside to hear suggestions and gather opinions on areas for improvement.

Libraries with high usage and active operations will be designated as exemplary cases, while libraries with poor operations will undergo additional inspections.

Currently, 120 members at the 10 Saemaul Libraries within the district are working to promote reading culture among residents through year-round library operations and specialized programs.

Lee Hoon-sung, head of Paldal-gu Office, said, "We will comprehensively understand the operational status of Saemaul Libraries to further revitalize them."
