Yeongdeungpo-gu Conducts Safety Inspections of Childcare Facilities Ahead of Winter Season
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Yeongdeungpo-gu in Suwon will conduct safety inspections of 329 childcare facilities in the district by the 31st to create a secure childcare environment ahead of the winter season.
The inspections are designed to prepare for the risk of safety accidents caused by winter fires and natural disasters such as heavy snow and severe cold. Focus areas include ▲regular facility safety inspections including fire alarm installation and proper placement of firefighting equipment ▲compliance with emergency facility installation standards and verification of emergency evacuation routes ▲implementation of facility-specific fire prevention safety education and emergency drills ▲implementation of measures to address fine dust and indoor air quality management.
Minor violations will be addressed immediately through on-site guidance and administrative instruction. For serious matters involving violations of the Infant and Childcare Act, corrective measures such as rectification orders will be implemented.
A district official said, "We will thoroughly conduct safety management and disaster preparedness inspections so that all children can play freely in safe places and spaces, and will do our best to prevent various safety accidents."
