The event concluded with a presentation of commendations in five fields: Early Childhood Story Recitation Contest, Excellent Childcare Program Contest for Daycare Centers, Case Studies of Inclusive Childcare Consultation for Children with Disabilities, Happy Our Child Photo Contest, and Parent Education, followed by cultural performances.
The Pyeongtaek City Childcare Comprehensive Support Center, which organized the event, is providing parents with various information on childcare and parenting, and is delivering character education, daycare center operation consulting, and childcare staff job placement information to daycare center staff.
In particular, the center is promoting early detection of disabilities through developmental assessments and counseling for infants and young children and connecting them to linked treatments, with plans to expand the project starting next year.
Mayor Jeong Jang-seon offered congratulations to award recipients and said, "Starting next year, I will do my best to support budgets for improving the quality of meals for children and childcare environments, and to make efforts to improve childcare services at daycare centers."
