[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Gwonseon-gu in Suwon has levied a total of 13.5 billion won in vehicle taxes on vehicle owners registered as of the 1st of this month.

The district plans to deliver the tax bills via registered and regular mail to homes and workplaces by the 16th of this month.

Taxpayers can inquire and pay through CD/ATM machines at all financial institutions nationwide by the 31st of this month. Card payment is also available via ARS (☎1899-7500), and internet payment is possible through Wetax (www.wetax.go.kr) and Giro (www.giro.or.kr).

In particular, taxpayers who apply for electronic bill delivery through Wetax or smart bills receive a tax deduction benefit of 500 won. However, paper bills will not be sent separately.

A district official stated, "We will make our best efforts to publicize this so that no taxpayers suffer disadvantages from not receiving their bills," and urged taxpayers to "pay vehicle taxes by December to save 3% in late payment fees."

For more details, contact the Suwon Human Call Center (1899-3300) or the district's Tax Division (031-228-6297).
