Pyeongtaek City Holds New Year Tribute at Pyeongtaek Lake Memorial Tower

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Marking the new year of 2020, the Year of the White Rat (Gyeongja), Pyeongtaek City held a New Year tribute ceremony at the Pyeongtaek Lake Memorial Tower on the morning of the 2nd.

The tribute at the Memorial Tower was attended by about 100 people, including Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang-seon, City Council Chairman Kwon Young-hwa, National Assembly members, provincial and city council members, heads of related agencies, leaders of veterans and security organizations, and Pyeongtaek City officials.

They honored the noble spirits of the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes who gave their lives for the nation, and pledged renewed resolve and determination for the development of Pyeongtaek City.

At a breakfast meeting following the tribute, Mayor Jung Jang-seon said, “Looking back on the year 2019, in the new year of Gyeongja, I will do my best and devote myself with renewed resolve to build a new Pyeongtaek together with the citizens.”
