Jangan-gu Holds Inauguration Ceremony for Resident Participation Budget District Committee Members
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Jangan-gu, Suwon held an inauguration ceremony for the 5th term Resident Participation Budget District Committee members at the district office on the 10th.
The Resident Participation Budget District Committee operates to broadly inform residents about budget management directions during the budget compilation process, guarantee resident participation through active opinion gathering, and realize financial democracy.
Following recruitment of 43 prospective committee members from November of last year and completion of budget school training, a total of 39 members were appointed on this day. Choi Chung-yeol was elected as committee chair.
Over the next two years, the members will participate in the district's budget compilation process and carry out tasks including reviewing project effectiveness, deliberating execution priorities, and monitoring project sites.
Jangan-gu District Head Lee Byung-gyu stated, "I hope that projects truly needed in residents' daily lives will be selected and that committee members will show keen interest and active participation so that the quality of life for district residents can improve."
Newly appointed Committee Chair Choi Chung-yeol said, "I will do my best to gather diverse opinions from residents and ensure they are actively reflected in administration."
