Osan City Implements '2020 Multifamily Housing Subsidy Support Project'

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Osan City is implementing the '2020 Multifamily Housing Subsidy Support Project,' which provides financial support for maintenance and repair costs of common facilities in aging apartment complexes.

Eligible complexes are multifamily housing units constructed in accordance with the provisions of the "Housing Act" and "Urban and Residential Environment Improvement Act," as well as mixed-use residential buildings (150 units or more) under the "Building Act" that have passed occupancy inspection and are 12 years or older.

Complexes that previously received subsidies cannot receive support for 7 years if they are mandatory management complexes, or 3 years if they are non-mandatory management complexes.

Target projects include installation and maintenance of roads, parking lots, street lights, and public facilities within complexes. The total project budget is 640 million won, an increase of 190 million won from the previous year.

For individual complexes, project funds are fully supported when construction costs are 20 million won or less. When costs exceed 20 million won, 50% of the excess amount is supported (with a maximum support limit of 50 million won).

The application period runs from the 16th through the 28th of next month, and applications should be submitted to the City's Housing Division. The city will conduct on-site inspections of complexes that submitted applications, and plans to determine eligible recipients through deliberation by the City Multifamily Housing Support Review Committee in April.
