[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Seo Dong-young] Considering concerns about the spread of the novel coronavirus, Jangan-gu has postponed events in the district and activated a 24-hour emergency quarantine system together with the Jangan-gu Health Center.

The district held an emergency countermeasure meeting with department and district heads on the 28th to review departmental initiatives and key matters. On the 29th, 32,500 copies of prevention guidance leaflets and 2,000 posters for prevention of novel coronavirus infection were distributed to each neighborhood office and posted throughout the district. 6,000 urgently secured masks were also distributed to be available for necessary support.

Additionally, promotion was strengthened through promotional banners, the district office website, and SNS, and requests for cooperation in disease prevention promotion using in-house promotional systems were made to multi-use facilities such as Seonggyungwan University Station and Homeplus North Suwon Branch.

Beyond this, the district decided to quickly secure preventive supplies such as masks and hand sanitizers and expand support to social welfare facilities where vulnerable populations frequently use services.

Lee Byung-gyou, Head of Jangan-gu Office, urged residents to "familiarize themselves with prevention behavior guidelines and be thorough with personal hygiene management to prevent damage from novel coronavirus infection," and added, "We will do our best to defend against the virus until it is eliminated."
