Emergency Medical Services and Cultural Facilities Opening…Suwon Special City Launches Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) has established and is implementing comprehensive measures for the 2026 Chuseok holiday break.

On the 16th, Suwon City held the '2026 Chuseok Holiday Comprehensive Measures Briefing Session' at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, presided over by Mayor Lee Jae-jun, and reviewed the comprehensive measures.

The comprehensive measures consist of five areas: △Establishing a seamless safety system to prevent accidents and safety incidents △Practicing compassionate neighborly love △Minimizing inconvenience to residents' daily lives △Supporting safe cultural and leisure activities △Establishing civil service discipline.

During the Chuseok holiday (September 24-27), Suwon City will operate a comprehensive situation team to promptly coordinate and handle any incidents or accidents that occur, and to resolve residents' inconveniences.

Additionally, an emergency medical care system will be established during the holiday to minimize gaps in medical services. Ten general hospitals and hospitals with 24-hour emergency rooms will be operating. Information on medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday can be found on the emergency medical portal (www.e-gen.or.kr).

Measures to minimize inconvenience to residents' daily lives include △Operating intensive cleaning periods △Operating emergency water supply repair teams △Managing and monitoring Chuseok essential goods.

There are many places for citizens to visit during the Chuseok holiday. Hwaseong Haenggung will be open for free on Chuseok Day (September 25), and Jeongjo Theme Performance Hall, Suwon Traditional Culture Center, and Suwon Media Center will operate normally during the holiday.

Suwon Museum, Suwon Gwanggyo Museum, Suwon Hwaseong Museum, and Suwon City Art Museum will operate normally during the holiday, and free admission is available on Chuseok Day (September 25). Suwon Arboretum will also operate normally during the holiday.

Suwon City will actively promote comprehensive Chuseok holiday measures and places worth visiting through its homepage and social media (SNS).

Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "We must seamlessly manage prices, conduct safety inspections, and support vulnerable groups in wildfire prevention so that citizens can spend the Chuseok holiday comfortably and safely," and urged, "Provide guidance so that citizens can easily find hospitals and pharmacies operating during the holiday period."
