Osan City Officials Launch 'Love Blood Donation Drive'
[Suwon Ilbo=Seo Dong-young] Osan City officials rolled up their sleeves on the 12th to participate in a "love blood donation drive" to help address blood supply shortages caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The blood donation drive held at the mobile blood donation bus in front of City Hall's main entrance was attended by public officials and citizens, providing an opportunity for life appreciation and sharing.
Lee Eun-young, team leader of the Autonomous Administration Division who participated in the blood donation, said, "It seems many employees and citizens participated to help during the blood supply emergency caused by COVID-19," and added, "Osan City officials will continue to actively participate in the practice of sharing precious life."
An official of the Korean Red Cross Gyeonggi Blood Center said, "We are thoroughly disinfecting the bus and phlebotomy equipment and maintaining strict personal hygiene standards for phlebotomy staff so that blood donors can participate with peace of mind," and urged, "Please participate in blood donation so that patients urgently in need of transfusions can continue their precious lives."
