Suwon's Youngtong District Launches Joint Public-Private-Police Campaign Against Youth-Harmful Environments

Suwon's Youngtong District (District Chief Park Sa-seung) held a 'Joint Public-Private-Police Youth Harmful Environment Guidance and Guidance Campaign' on the 22nd in areas densely populated with youth-harmful businesses around the central shopping district in front of Youngtong District Office.

The campaign was organized to prevent youth delinquency and create a safe community environment as the fall semester begins.

Over 50 representatives from related agencies participated in the event, including key departments of Youngtong District Office, administrative welfare centers from eight neighborhoods within the district, the Suwon Youngtong Police Station, the Ministry of Justice, and youth guidance committee members from each neighborhood, launching large-scale promotional activities.

Campaign participants visited liquor stores, convenience stores, restaurants and other shops in densely populated commercial areas to conduct substantive inspection activities, including △guidance on compliance with the prohibition of alcohol and tobacco sales to minors under 19 years old △inspection of prohibition stickers △distribution of promotional materials regarding prevention of forged or altered youth identification cards and abuse of harmful substances such as electronic cigarettes.

They conducted youth protection activities in local communities, including patrolling bustling areas and guiding youth engaged in drinking, smoking, and loitering during late-night hours to safely return home.
