Pyeongtaek City Holds 'Q1 2020 Integrated Defense Coordination Meeting'
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City held the 'Q1 2020 Integrated Defense Coordination Meeting' on the 19th at City Hall, with participation from related organizations including civilian, government, military, and police officials.
The meeting was attended by approximately 30 officials, including Pyeongtaek Mayor Jung Jang-seon, Pyeongtaek City Council Chairman Kwon Young-hwa, unit commanders from each military division, and the Pyeongtaek Police Station chief, and proceeded with status reports and discussions on peacetime operation plans for reserve force reconnaissance squad drones and COVID-19 response measures.
The city also shared updates on COVID-19 response efforts and measures to revitalize the local economy. Additionally, discussions were held on establishing close cooperation frameworks among related organizations to revitalize the sluggish local economy and exploring mutual support measures.
Mayor Jung Jang-seon said, "I urge the establishment of a firm state of readiness among related organizations and the construction of organic cooperation systems so that citizens can live with greater peace of mind."
