Suwon Urban Corporation to Conduct Facility Improvement Project at Suwon Yeona Funeral Hall Starting Next Month
[Suwon Ilbo=Correspondent Seo Dong-young] Suwon Urban Corporation (President Lee Bu-young) announced on the 9th that it will conduct facility improvement projects at Suwon Yeona Funeral Hall from the first of next month through September of the following year.
The corporation plans to invest 35.5 billion won to establish an advanced comprehensive funeral service through remodeling of aging facilities and construction of new enshrinement facilities.
The funeral hall will undergo expansion and basement parking lot connection construction. During this period, all viewing rooms, embalming facilities, and restaurants within the funeral hall will be completely closed.
Seunghwawon will begin remodeling construction starting in July. Daily cremation cycles will be reduced from the existing 10 to 7, and the incense hall will be closed.
For the safety of bereaved families, construction will be conducted in the afternoon. A separate sales office for enshrinement urns inside Seunghwawon will be set up outside.
For the convenience of bereaved families, the convenience store inside the funeral hall will operate on a shortened schedule (until 3 p.m.), and food trucks will be installed instead of restaurants. The Memorial Hall will continue normal operations.
President Lee Bu-young stated, "The facility improvement project requires the attention of users as facility usage will be restricted," and added, "We will provide more dignified funeral services through expedited project implementation."
