Paldal-gu Civil Servants Participate in Suwon City Disaster Basic Income Sharing Campaign
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Paldal-gu in Suwon City has been conducting a sharing campaign since the 9th to support small business owners and the unemployed who face management crises due to the prolonged economic downturn caused by COVID-19.
The sharing campaign, hosted by the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea and sponsored by Suwon City, aims to donate 'Suwon City Disaster Basic Income' to the unemployed, low-income households, and small business owners facing difficulties from the COVID-19 crisis.
District Chief Gwon Chan-ho of Paldal-gu and senior civil servants voluntarily participated in the sharing initiative. The district plans to expand the campaign to enable all Paldal-gu employees to participate voluntarily.
District Chief Gwon Chan-ho stated, "Although it is not a large sum, practicing small-scale sharing will serve as a foundation that enables universal welfare and selective welfare to work in harmony."
Meanwhile, citizens who wish to make donations can participate by depositing money into the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea fundraising account or through collection boxes at neighborhood administrative welfare centers.
Citizens requiring donation receipts can submit an application form to the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea via email (suw@chest.or.kr) or to the nearest neighborhood administrative welfare center.
