Yeongdong-gu to Open Gateball Court at Seonju Ridles Park on the 15th

[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Yeongdong-gu, Suwon City plans to open a gateball court at Seonju Ridles Park in Maetan-dong on the 15th.

A total project cost of 600 million won was invested to newly construct the aging gateball court. Additionally, a park restroom was added to reflect residents' inconveniences.

The completed gateball court is a membrane structure with a total floor area of 463.4 square meters and was originally scheduled to open at the end of May. Due to the prevention of COVID-19 spread, it will open on the 15th, which marks the end of the 'Enhanced Quarantine Measures Implementation' period.

The former Seonju Ridles Park gateball court was smaller than official standards and had deteriorated facilities, causing significant inconvenience to enthusiasts and residents.

The new gateball court is expected to resolve residents' inconveniences not only for gateball enthusiasts but also to contribute to the expansion of the gateball community.
