Jangan District Holds Regional Conference to Review Citizen Participation Budget Proposal Projects
[Suwon Ilbo=Correspondent Seo Dong-young] Jangan District in Suwon held the third regional conference on the 27th at the district office conference room to review citizen participation budget proposal projects.
During the meeting, priority rankings were established for 21 feasible projects out of 54 proposal projects received through open recruitment. Main categories include ▲general administration 2 projects ▲culture and welfare 1 project ▲urban environment 15 projects ▲construction and development 3 projects. Following this, projects will be finalized after final review by the Suwon City Committee and budget department.
The district stated that all participants adhered to COVID-19 prevention guidelines by wearing masks, undergoing temperature checks, and disinfecting their hands before conducting the meeting.
Im Yong-soon, head of the District Administrative Support Division, said, "We ask for your continued support and interest so that projects that are truly necessary for residents are selected and can improve the quality of life for our citizens." Meanwhile, the citizen participation budget system is a system that actively incorporates public opinion in the budget compilation process. The district has operated the citizen participation budget system since 2011.
