Gwangmyeong to Select 2027 Participatory Budget Projects Through Citizen Voting

Gwangmyeong City (Mayor Park Seung-won) will select 2027 participatory budget projects through citizen voting. The city will conduct the "2027 Gwangmyeong City Participatory Budget Proposed Project Online Citizen Voting" until October 9.

The participatory budget system is a program in which citizens directly propose necessary projects for their region and participate in project selection and budget allocation processes.

The online voting targets a total of 26 participatory budget proposed projects that have undergone preliminary review and deliberation. By sector, these include △12 urban environment projects △8 safety and construction projects △6 economy, welfare, and youth projects.

Voting participants can review the details of the 26 projects and select a total of 9 projects: 4 from the urban environment sector, 3 from the safety and construction sector, and 2 from the economy, welfare, and youth sector.

Anyone can participate in the voting, which is available until October 9 through the online address (moaform.com/q/ehLrzT) or the QR code on promotional materials.

The results of the online citizen voting will be used as data for selecting 2027 participatory budget projects and allocating budgets. The city will draw 50 winners from voting participants and present them with coffee coupons to encourage citizen participation.

Gwangmyeong Mayor Park Seung-won stated, "Reflecting the voice of citizens in city administration is the starting point of citizen-centered governance," and added, "I will faithfully reflect the opinions proposed by citizens in next year's participatory budget so that they can lead to changes in our region."
