Suwon Road Development Project Sites Show 'No Safety Management Issues'
[Suwon Ilbo=Correspondent Seo Dong-young] An inspection by Suwon City of road development project sites that were halted due to monsoon rains has found no issues with safety management.
An inspection team composed of five staff members, led by Jo In-gyu, director of Suwon City's Road and Transportation Management Project Office, conducted safety inspections on six road development sites located in Pyeongni-dong, Ingye-dong, Maetan-dong, and Woncheon-dong on the 11th, and announced the results on the 14th.
During this inspection, the team checked ground subsidence, soil runoff, and drainage conditions around the project sites, organized various construction materials, and confirmed that no issues were found in safety management.
Meanwhile, the city completed construction at seven of the 13 road development sites (3.9km) planned for this year (2.62km) in the first half. The remaining six sites (1.28km) are currently suspended due to monsoon rains.
Jo In-gyu, director of the city's Road and Transportation Management Project Office, stated, "We thoroughly inspected the project sites to prevent safety accidents that could occur at construction sites due to monsoon rains," and added, "After the monsoon ends, we will complete the construction promptly and do our best to ensure citizens can use the roads safely."
