Pyeongtaek City States "Some Media Reports on Patient 65's Rally Participation Are Not True"
[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Seo Dong-young] Pyeongtaek City stated that some media reports claiming it "intentionally disguised participants of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions rally as attendees of the Gwanghwamun rally" in the process of disclosing information about COVID-19 confirmed case 65 are not true.
According to the city on the 25th, confirmed case 65 stated during the basic epidemiological investigation on the 22nd that he "attended the August 15 rally." The city explained that on that day, among 11 COVID-19 confirmed cases, five confirmed cases including case 65 were related to the August 15 rally, and the city collectively referred to them as "Gwanghwamun rally attendees" in its announcement.
On the 23rd, confirmed case 65 stated during in-depth epidemiological investigation to trace his movements that he attended the "August 15 Bosingak rally," and was subsequently transferred to Osan City, his registered residence.
The city stated that there could be no intentional distortion of facts, and expressed regret over such controversy.
