Yeongdong-gu Inspects Attached Parking Lots of New Buildings Through the 13th
[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Seo Dong-young] Yeongdong-gu, Suwon is conducting inspections of attached parking lot management at new buildings through the 13th to create a pleasant urban environment.
The inspection targets a total of 66 new buildings that received occupancy permits in 2019, checking the consistency between the building status map including the legal number of parking spaces and on-site conditions, as well as verifying whether there has been any unauthorized change of use in the attached parking lots and whether their original functions are being maintained.
To prevent safety accidents, the district plans to take corrective measures on parking lots with insufficient maintenance, such as those with items improperly stored, and will conduct regular and ongoing guidance inspections to eliminate illegal use of parking lots.
A district official stated, "We will intensively guide and inspect unauthorized changes of use and illegal activities, such as converting attached parking lots into offices, commercial spaces, or installing fences, to ensure that residents can use parking lots conveniently."
