Seamless Care During Chuseok Holiday... 'Saebbit Care Packages' Delivered to 300 Households

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-joon) will deliver 'Saebbit Care Packages' to 300 households receiving meal support from Suwon Saebbit Care, who face concerns about meal gaps during the Chuseok holiday period, by September 23.

The support targets are households among Suwon Saebbit Care meal support users whose meal support will be suspended during the Chuseok holiday period. Each district recommended and selected households with actual risk of meal gaps as a priority.

The 'Saebbit Care Package' consists of 8 types of convenient foods including instant rice, soups and broths, nutritional porridge, and side dishes. Items were selected considering nutrition and convenience of storage and preparation.

Suwon City held a 'Saebbit Care Package' delivery ceremony on the 17th and distributed packages to each district. Each district will deliver packages to recipients by September 23.

Suwon City will visit recipients' homes with the district's human safety network to deliver the Saebbit Care Packages and check on holiday greetings and living conditions. By linking product support with welfare checks, the city plans to carefully monitor neighbors in need of care during the holiday period and prevent care blind spots.

A Suwon City official stated, "While Chuseok is a time to share affection with family and neighbors, it can be a period when neighbors in need of care feel meal gaps and isolation more acutely," adding, "We will carefully monitor to ensure care continues through the holiday period by sharing Saebbit Care Packages and conducting welfare checks."
