Yongin City Holds Second Advisory Meeting for Community-Participatory Children's Playground
[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Park No-hoon] Yongin City announced on the 12th that it held a second advisory meeting on the 11th to renovate Mapyeong Children's Park (758-3, Mapyeong-dong, Cheoin-gu) into a community-participatory children's playground.
The meeting was held to discuss measures for improving park facilities that local residents and children can conveniently use.
Prior to the meeting, the city actively reflected the opinions of children, the primary users, by collecting feedback from Yongma Elementary School, nearby apartment complexes, and private academies in the area.
Eight advisory committee members, including experts and local residents, attended the meeting and discussed plans for installing adventure play facilities that children can actively use and creating recreational spaces for local residents to enjoy.
A city official stated, "We will do our best to create a place that everyone wants to visit by reflecting the results of the advisory meeting and the opinions of residents."
Meanwhile, the city secured an additional 2 billion won in municipal funds in the second supplementary budget to install play facilities that were discussed at the first meeting held in February.
