[Suwon Ilbo=Reporter Park No-hun] Gyeonggi Province officially launches Gyeonggi Smart D, a customized administrative service utilizing public my data, on April 27.

The province plans to introduce a Gyeonggi Resident Card and e-wallet service featuring personalized information alerts to drive innovation in administrative services.

According to the province on April 26, Gyeonggi Smart D is a name selected through public participation and expert review, carrying the meaning of a 'smart data service' that provides residents with customized information they desire.

Gyeonggi Smart D offers ▲a 'Customized Benefit Information Service' providing welfare information and public job recruitment information for residents ▲a 'Gyeonggi Resident Card,' a personal verification service based on public my data ▲an 'E-Wallet' service that allows residents to store and use various electronic certificates on their mobile phones.

The customized information service provides residents only benefits perfectly suited to them, screening approximately 1,300 pieces of benefit information provided by the central government, province, municipalities, and public institutions according to individual circumstances and sending alerts when it is time to apply.

For example, when turning 24, the service informs residents about Gyeonggi Province Youth Basic Income application information, and when moving to another municipality, it guides them to welfare information available in that area.

The alert service not only sends simple notifications but also provides detailed information on application methods, required documents, and application websites to help residents not miss available benefits.

The Gyeonggi Resident Card enables personal verification through text message authentication alone, allowing residents to receive discount benefits without additional supporting documents when entering public facilities.

The service reduces the inconvenience of preparing and carrying various supporting documents such as resident registration certificates or family relationship certificates with each visit, making it easy for residents to receive entrance discounts.

In the first half of this year, the province plans to pilot the service at eight facilities in Suwon and Yongin: ▲Hwaseong Haenggung Palace ▲Gwanggyo Lake Park Campground ▲Suwon Municipal Art Museum ▲Yongin Natural Recreation Forest ▲Yongin Rural Theme Park ▲Gyeonggi Pine Scent Green Forest ▲Gyeonggi Pottery Museum. In the second half, the province plans to expand to other municipalities to enable more residents to conveniently use the service.

The e-wallet service allows residents to easily issue and store 66 types of government-provided certificates, including resident registration abstracts, on their mobile devices anytime and anywhere, which is expected to be conveniently used in daily life.

The province plans to continue expanding the types of certificates available as the central government expands the scope of certificate issuance.

Gyeonggi Smart D can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by searching for 'Gyeonggi Smart D' or 'Gyeonggi Smart D.' Most services can be accessed without separate registration or login by only going through personal verification.

Kim Gyu-sik, Future Growth Policy Official of Gyeonggi Province, said, "As digital transformation accelerates following COVID-19, residents are demanding personalized and customized services from the government," adding, "We will continue to develop Gyeonggi Smart D to provide customized provincial administrative services based on communication with residents and reliable data."

Meanwhile, the province plans to launch the 'My Data Report' service providing lifestyle reports based on public my data in August and test the 'My Data Platform Service' in November, which allows users to store and directly utilize my data where they wish.
