Namyangju City Holds Operating Committee Meeting for Public Bus Management System

[Suwon Ilbo = Reporter Um In-yong] Namyangju City held the '2024 First Operating Committee Meeting for the Public Bus Management System' on the 17th.

The Operating Committee for the Public Bus Management System consists of 9 members in total: 2 ex officio members including the chair (Transportation Bureau Director) and 7 appointed members including city council members and outside experts. The committee deliberates and decides on matters including △route adjustments △standard transportation cost calculations △route selection for the route bidding system and other related matters.

At the meeting, new committee members were appointed, a vice chair was elected, and agenda items were deliberated.

In particular, a proposal for route extension and vehicle increase for the Thankyou 24 bus based on the Chashan-Sambong road section of the Provincial Route 8, which opened on October 3rd, was presented and passed as originally proposed. Through this, transportation convenience for residents of Jajaegi Village in Sambong-ri, Jowan-myeon toward Maseok is expected to be significantly improved.
