Brain Saver is awarded to firefighters who contributed to minimizing sequelae by swiftly and accurately assessing and transferring acute cerebrovascular disease patients, while Trauma Saver is given to firefighters who contributed to life protection and reduction of sequelae in severely trauma patients by providing appropriate emergency treatment and rapid transfer.

The 20 firefighters receiving certificates this time consist of 12 Heart Savers, 1 Brain Saver, and 7 Trauma Savers.

They were recognized for their contributions to protecting citizens' lives through superior emergency response activities, including rapid field assessment, professional emergency treatment, appropriate hospital selection, and transfer.

Fire Chief Na Yun-ho stated, "I deeply appreciate the firefighters who protected citizens' lives with composed and professional emergency treatment even in critical situations," and added, "Going forward, through continuous education and training, we will enhance on-scene response capabilities and do our best to provide emergency services that earn greater trust from citizens."
