Suwon Special City Council to Listen to Citizens' Voices Unfiltered on the 14th

To mark the opening of the 13th Council, Suwon Special City Council will hold the ‘1st Open Council Administration, Dialogue with Citizens’ event, communicating directly with citizens, on the 14th at 2 p.m. in the first-floor lobby of Suwon Special City Council.

This event was arranged to hear citizens' voices up close and directly and to faithfully reflect them in council activities. It will serve as a forum for communication, freely sharing a variety of on-site opinions, including expectations for the 13th Council and the role citizens hope it will play, as well as the inconveniences citizens feel in daily life and policies that need to be prioritized.

The event will be attended by Council Chair Kim Mi-kyung, Suwon Special City Council members, relevant public officials, and citizens who applied in advance, who will directly convey local issues, everyday inconveniences, and their expectations for the council, and freely exchange opinions.

On this day, under the theme of ‘What We Hope for from the 13th Suwon Special City Council,’ citizens will freely propose what they hope for from the council, everyday inconveniences, and policies needed for regional development, while council members listen directly to citizens' opinions and engage in dialogue with them.

Council Chair Kim Mi-kyung said, “We seek to find the answers for our council activities by listening directly to citizens' voices,” adding, “Through this dialogue with citizens, we will carefully listen to the opinions of each and every citizen and faithfully reflect them in our council activities. Going forward, we will continue to meet and communicate with citizens to create a ‘council opened together by citizens, citizens, citizens.’”
